Hermes Desktop is an open-source AI agent by Nous Research that runs natively on macOS, Windows, and Linux. It features persistent memory that learns from your projects, multi-platform connectivity (Telegram, Discord, Slack, WhatsApp, etc.), natural-language automation scheduling, isolated subagents for delegated tasks, web browsing and search, image generation, text-to-speech, and sandboxed execution via Docker, SSH, or Modal. The app is free to use with optional paid tiers for additional credits and model access.

How to use Hermes Desktop?
Download the installer for your OS from the website, install, and launch the app. Create an account or sign in via the Nous Portal. Start a conversation with the agent, connect it to platforms like Telegram or Slack, and use natural language to schedule tasks, delegate work to subagents, browse the web, or generate images. The agent automatically learns from your interactions and builds a persistent memory. For advanced use, you can run isolated subagents with Python RPC scripts or set up sandboxed environments.
